A British family, known online as 'The Rolling Rucks,' has embarked on an ambitious renovation project after purchasing a house in Bulgaria for just £6,500. The family, who typically lives full-time in a van, traveled from the UK to their new property, arriving with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Upon their arrival, the family described feeling "overwhelmed" by the state of the house, which requires significant work. "We didn't know what to expect because we bought a house online for six and a half thousand pounds," the mother stated in a video. However, local assistance has provided a much-needed boost, making the task feel less daunting. The video tour reveals the extent of the renovation challenge. The exterior of the brick house shows signs of disrepair, with a damaged roof where trees have fallen. The surrounding land was heavily overgrown but has since been partially cleared by the family and local helpers, with cut branches being used as firewood. Inside, the three-bedroom house is largely empty, with broken windows and peeling walls. One bedroom is notably filled with a large pile of rubbish, while the cellar is also described as a "mess." An old fireplace is completely open at the back, indicating structural issues. Despite the considerable work ahead, the family remains optimistic, noting some pieces of furniture that could be upcycled. They plan to document their progress, inviting followers to join their journey.
