Chelsea Star Banned From Driving After Multiple Speeding Offences
Chelsea star Wesley Fofana banned from driving for two years after accumulating 47 points on his license. The 22-year-old footballer has been disqualified from driving for two years following a series of speeding offences. The incidents involved three different vehicles, including a Lamborghini and a Rolls Royce. A court hearing revealed that Fofana was caught speeding five times behind the wheel of his £300,000 Rolls Royce and twice in his Audi. These latest offences added 38 points to his existing nine, exceeding the 12-point threshold for a driving ban. A judge commented on the sheer number of offences, stating that 'they were scattered throughout the building's courtrooms'. The offences occurred on a route Fofana regularly uses between his home and the Chelsea training ground, where he reached speeds of up to 88mph. This latest ban follows a previous six-month disqualification in January 2023 for speeding. The two-year ban will significantly impact Fofana's daily life and travel arrangements.
