Veteran Mistakenly Apprehended by Ukrainian Mobilization Workers
In a recent incident in Ukraine, Andriy Baglay, a veteran of the National Guard, was mistakenly apprehended by Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support (TCSS) workers. The incident occurred on May 16th, 2025, around 11:30 PM, while Baglay was walking down the street. Baglay recounted the event, stating, "They didn't even ask for my documents, they just grabbed me and threw me in the van." A spokesperson for the Western Operational Command, Oleh Dumbrovskyi, denied the use of force, stating that Baglay was invited to the TCSS for verification. However, the video shows Baglay with visible injuries. The incident raises concerns about the methods employed by TCSS workers and the potential for mistakes during the mobilization process. Baglay is now preparing to file a complaint with the National Police and the military service.
