
Technician Confesses to Role in Death of Andreina Farias in San Bartolo
The death of young Andreina Farias in San Bartolo, Peru, has shocked the nation. According to the PNP, Cueva Velasquez and a colleague went to Farias's home on May 14th to install internet service. Later that night, Farias was found dead, apparently as a result of being struck by a vehicle. Cueva Velasquez's statement indicates that after installing the service, Farias offered them lunch. Later, he found Farias and his colleague in a compromising situation. When they left, Farias attempted to stop them, resulting in her being struck by their vehicle. "It's a terrible tragedy," said a family member, who asked to remain anonymous. The investigation is ongoing, but the PNP has confirmed the arrest of Cueva Velasquez and his colleague.
