Kenyan Schoolchildren's Stunning Madaraka Day Performance Showcases National Pride

On June 1st, 2025, Kenya celebrated its 62nd Madaraka Day with a unique display of national pride in Homa Bay. Over 150 school children from 11 different schools participated in a coordinated performance at Raila Odinga Stadium. They formed human formations spelling out "Homa Bay" and the event's theme, "Blue Economy." One teacher described the event as "a testament to the children's dedication and the potential of our youth." The impressive display was part of the larger Madaraka Day celebrations, which included speeches from President Ruto and other officials. The event highlighted Kenya's focus on developing its blue economy and investing in its future.
