Major Traffic Accident on Interamericana Highway in Panama

A multi-vehicle accident blocked the Interamericana Highway in Penonomé, Panama, on Wednesday afternoon. The collision involved a semi-truck, a truck carrying building blocks, and a smaller sedan. The impact was severe, leaving the sedan trapped beneath the larger vehicles. A TVN Noticias reporter at the scene stated, "The accident happened just 15 minutes ago. We've spoken to traffic operations, and they've confirmed there are no fatalities reported so far, but there are injuries." Emergency services, including firefighters and ambulances, rapidly arrived to assist the injured. The highway was partially blocked while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
