
Sarawak's AI Power Converter Set for Launch by Malaysian Prime Minister
Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia – May 17, 2025 – The world's first AI-powered smart power converter, KETEQ AI, is poised for its official launch by Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. This announcement was made by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who highlighted that the device, a product of Sarawakian ingenuity, is currently undergoing intellectual property registration. "This is a significant leap forward in the field of power electronics and control systems," stated Premier Abang Johari, emphasizing the achievement's importance for Sarawak's technological advancement. The KETEQ AI boasts exceptional capabilities in energy efficiency, scalability, and autonomous system anomaly correction, operating within a timeframe of less than one-tenth of a millisecond. Its development, initiated in April 2024, followed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between SMD Semiconductor and CSA Catapult in the United Kingdom.
