
El Gusto Gastro Festival Huari Delights Attendees with Diverse Flavors in Santa Cruz
SANTA CRUZ, Bolivia – The "El Gusto Gastro Festival Huari" concluded its successful run on June 29 in Urubo Village, Santa Cruz, offering attendees a diverse array of culinary delights. The festival, presented by UNITEL BOLIVIA, featured traditional and gourmet dishes from various regions. Among the highlights sampled by festival-goers was the authentic charque from Oruro, a popular shredded dried meat dish. From La Paz, the gourmet Bolivian dish "queso macha" captivated palates with its unique flavors. "It's light and transformed, with nuances and flavor," commented one attendee. Another crowd-pleaser was the renowned Uruguayan chivito sandwich, presented by Chef Marcos Gonzalez, a judge from MasterChef. Chef Gonzalez described the chivito as a hearty combination of lettuce, tomato, loin, ham, cheese, bacon, fried egg, olives, and pickled bell peppers, all served on homemade bread. "The first MasterChef of Bolivia approved it," he stated, encouraging visitors to try it. The festival provided a vibrant atmosphere with numerous food stalls and live music, celebrating the rich gastronomic heritage and innovative culinary scene.
