Gomel Shelter Welcomes 'Fairytale Affectionate' Dog

Local animal shelter receives a new resident. Gomel, a black Labrador mix, arrived at a Gomel animal shelter on June 6th, 2025, after being brought in by animal control officers. Shelter staff describe Gomel as a "fairytale affectionate" dog. 'He's a sweet dog, a little underweight, but otherwise healthy,' said a shelter worker. The shelter hopes to find Gomel a loving forever home. Gomel's story highlights the work animal shelters do in caring for animals in need. Donations to the shelter are always welcome.
