Arsonist Arrested in Baranovichi After Car Fire

A 40-year-old man from Baranovichi, Belarus, has been arrested for arson. The victim, a 38-year-old internal troops serviceman, reported that his car was set ablaze in his driveway. According to police, the suspect acted in retaliation after the serviceman apprehended the arsonist's intoxicated friend and handed him over to traffic police. "The suspect admitted to setting the car on fire," stated Vasily Gritsel, Deputy Chief of the Main Department for Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Brest region. The arsonist is now in custody and faces up to 10 years imprisonment. This incident underscores the seriousness of any illegal acts directed towards law enforcement personnel.
