Local Mushroom Farm in Belarus Boasts Record Yields Thanks to Domestic Compost

Near Baranovichi, a mushroom farm thrives, producing 2.5 million kilograms of mushrooms annually. This success story highlights the benefits of using domestically produced compost, significantly improving yields and reducing costs compared to importing from Poland. "The use of our own compost has been a game-changer," says Viktor Ruzhin, director of the company. The farm uses 12 chambers, each covering 800 square meters. This efficient operation showcases Belarusian agricultural innovation and economic growth. The transition to local compost also reduced transportation delays and losses previously experienced with imports.
