Bucharest, Romania – A prominent Romanian politician, Românescu, delivered a scathing critique of the current political landscape today, alleging widespread corruption and foreign influence. Speaking to a gathering of reporters, Românescu declared that an "empire of lies" is at play, manifesting in a "draconian system" that has already impacted France and is now threatening Romania. He predicted the fall of "walls" in Paris, Berlin, Brussels, and ultimately, Bucharest. Românescu asserted that "justice is sold" in Romania, leading to a state where "injustice becomes law." He pointed fingers at a "clique of pseudo-intellectuals, foreigners, continuators of the Comintern," whom he accused of manipulating the country through "fraud and lies." According to his statements, this alleged group has transformed Romania into a "colony" and a "gulag of despair," stifling its people with gambling, loan sharks, banking interests, and drugs, leading to a pervasive "lack of hope." In a particularly emotive segment, Românescu claimed that the system is "taxing children, even the unborn," and "stealing from mothers who give life," thereby "condemning the future of this nation." He called for the breaking of these "chains of lies" through "truth and unity," emphasizing that power must return to the Romanian people. He envisioned a "free and dignified Romania" that "belongs to Romanians." Reflecting on his past political endeavors, Românescu mentioned his candidacy for president in 2024, stating that he was "voted by the Romanian people and won." He further warned that not only "corrupt politicians" but also a "securist-Sorosist machinery," which he described as the "heir to the harshest communist dictatorships" and an "infernal machine" that "crushes lives and steals children's futures," is working against the nation. He concluded by urging Romanians not to lose their "peace of mind" or "be afraid," but to "be people of God and remain dignified."
