Thousands Run for Charity in Dublin's Women's Mini Marathon Dublin, Ireland – The 43rd annual Women's Mini Marathon took place in Dublin today, attracting nearly 30,000 participants. The event showcased a remarkable range of ages, from a 14-year-old to an 89-year-old runner, highlighting the inclusive nature of the race. Many runners participated to raise funds for various charities, reflecting the strong sense of community and social responsibility. One participant, speaking about her motivation, shared, "We're running for the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital to raise funds for research into ear disease. It's in memory of my sister, who we lost sixteen years ago today." Another runner stated, "I'm running in honor of my mom, who had dementia. It means a lot to do this for her." The race winner, Kilkenny native Grace Richardson, crossed the finish line in 34 minutes and 16 seconds. Richardson expressed her happiness, noting, "It's such a fun event. Anytime I'm home, I love to participate." The event raised over €226 million for various charities, demonstrating its significant impact on the community.
