В апреле полисы ОСАГО отвязали от курса евро, а привязали к базовой величине, которая сейчас составляет 42 рубля.
MINSK, Belarus – Vehicle owners in Belarus are observing changes in their mandatory insurance costs following a shift in calculation methodology. A recent video shared by a Belarusian driver highlights the transition from Euro-denominated premiums to those calculated in 'basic units' (базовые величины), a standard measure in the country's economic system. The driver, who wishes to remain anonymous, presented an insurance document showing a previous annual premium of 50.90 EUR, which translated to 226.88 Belarusian Rubles (BYN). The new premium, calculated in 'basic units', amounts to 230.58 BYN. Despite maintaining the same insurance company and having a consistent driving record with over two years of experience and being over 25 years old, the cost has seen an increase. The individual expressed surprise at the rising cost, stating, "We used to pay in Euros, and now that the Euro has gone down, to avoid losing money, insurance is now in basic units. We paid 226.88 for a year, now it's 230.58. It seems like with the same experience and insurance from the same company, there should be discounts, but every year we pay more." This personal account reflects a broader discussion among motorists regarding the impact of economic adjustments on everyday expenses, prompting questions about the transparency and fairness of insurance pricing in the current economic climate.
