A wheelchair user has voiced a serious complaint against a trolleybus driver who allegedly refused to provide assistance during boarding, highlighting ongoing accessibility issues in public transport. The incident occurred on June 4th, when the individual, accompanied by his wife, attempted to board a trolleybus (route 1, number 5033) at approximately 11:12 PM from the National Library stop, heading towards Zeleny Lug. According to the man, the driver neither deployed the vehicle's ramp nor offered any assistance, despite being legally obligated to do so. A fellow passenger ultimately had to help the couple board the trolleybus. The complainant stated that similar issues are frequently encountered on trolleybus route 1 (number 5033) and bus route 24, where drivers reportedly often lack the necessary equipment or simply refuse to assist passengers with disabilities. He plans to file a formal complaint with the relevant transport authority, urging them to investigate the matter and ensure that drivers are properly trained and equipped to fulfill their responsibilities regarding accessibility.
