Ghana's Techiman to Get 54km Outer Ring Road
Techiman, Ghana, is set to receive a major infrastructure upgrade with the commencement of construction on a new 54-kilometer outer ring road. President John Mahama announced the project, stating, "The Bono East Region will not be left behind." This initiative, part of the NDC's 2024 manifesto, aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the busy commercial hub of Techiman and improve market access for farmers. The project is expected to significantly reduce travel times and transportation costs for residents and businesses. Funding for the project has been secured, with the Minister of Finance providing nearly 15 billion cedis for road improvements across the country. The completion of the ring road will open up the region, benefitting residents and travelers alike. The project is a testament to Ghana's commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth.
