Woman abandons dog in Jersey Village, sparks outrage

A case of animal abandonment in Jersey Village, NJ, has sparked outrage among residents after a security camera captured a woman leaving her dog on the street. The incident occurred around 11:00 AM on May 12, 2025. The video shows a woman exiting a gray sedan and allowing a large white dog to disembark before driving away. Animal control officers who responded to the scene reported that the dog, described as friendly, appeared underweight and exhibited signs of ear mites. "This type of thing makes no sense," stated the video's author, wienerdogwifi. "She dropped it off in the neighborhood right in front of a home camera in the middle of the day." The Jersey Village Police Department is investigating and urges anyone with information to come forward. The dog has since been taken to a local shelter and is receiving care.
