Golden retrievers "don't understand" spiral steps—owner does the unexpected
Owner Ellie Schraft told Newsweek she spent two hours trying to coax the dogs down the stairs.
In a recent online video, a household with golden retrievers demonstrated an unconventional method to assist their dogs with navigating a spiral staircase. The footage shows one of the golden retrievers initially hesitant to descend the winding steps. A person is then seen sitting on the stairs, attempting to guide the dog down. Later, a large blue blanket was ingeniously repurposed, draped over the staircase railing to create a slide, allowing the two golden retrievers to descend more easily. One of the dogs was also observed wearing a red life vest during the descent. The video highlights the unique challenges and creative solutions pet owners sometimes employ to accommodate their beloved animals within their homes.
