The bride stated that her mother-in-law had been present during her own wedding dress fittings and was fully aware of the style and color of her gown. "She came down the stairs from the apartment like an Oscar gala star, proudly smiling at everyone," the bride's account read. When the bride directly confronted her mother-in-law about the dress's resemblance to a wedding gown, the mother-in-law reportedly dismissed her concerns. "But darling, yours has lace, mine is completely different," she allegedly replied, adding, "It's just the color white suits me, and besides, it's my big day too."
