Middelalderkamp med maskingeværer i ‘Kingmakers’ er udskudt
“Vi vil ikke skære funktioner fra bare for at få det ud ad døren"
Copenhagen, Denmark – Redemption Road has announced an indefinite postponement for the highly anticipated game "Kingmakers," which was originally slated for Steam Early Access release on October 8th. The decision, conveyed via a message on X (formerly Twitter), aims to ensure the ambitious project is not rushed to market, according to developer statements. "Kingmakers" promises a unique blend of medieval combat and modern military technology, where players command forces ranging from knights and archers to tanks and helicopters in large-scale, real-time battles. The game, described as a fusion of "Total War" and "third-person Battlefield" elements, boasts a fully destructible environment and thousands of AI units. Developers are striving for a stable 60 frames per second on mid-range PCs, even amidst the chaos of massive engagements. The studio reiterated its commitment to delivering a complete and polished experience, stating, "We will not cut features just to get it out the door." Fans can expect a 30-minute gameplay deep dive "very soon," which is hoped to coincide with the announcement of a new release date. The game will also feature a drop-in/drop-out co-op mode for up to four players, allowing for diverse combat scenarios with friends on horseback or even motorcycles. While the delay is disappointing for eager fans, many in the gaming community view it as a respectable choice by Redemption Road to prioritize quality.
