Man Claims Prison Saved His Life After Multiple Overdoses
Bucharest, Romania – A young Romanian man, who prefers to remain anonymous, has shared a powerful testimony online, attributing his recovery from severe drug addiction to his time spent in prison. In a recent video, he recounted a harrowing period where he was hospitalized three times within a single week due to drug overdoses. "I was at Floreasca Hospital three times in one week because of a very bad overdose," he stated. The turning point, according to the man, came with his arrest. "The moment I realized it couldn't go on like this was exactly when I was arrested," he explained. He detailed undergoing withdrawal while incarcerated and reflecting on the circumstances that led him to addiction. He served a 14-month sentence, during which he encountered various individuals, which he says contributed to his realization and recovery. His candid account aims to highlight an unconventional path to sobriety, suggesting that for some, incarceration can indeed be a life-saving intervention.
