Lima, Peru – Digital payment platform Yape has released a new instructional video aimed at assisting users who encounter difficulties accessing their accounts after switching mobile devices. The guide, disseminated through the company’s official channels, outlines a streamlined process for account recovery, emphasizing user security and convenience. According to the video, users experiencing this issue are advised to initiate contact with Yape’s support team via WhatsApp. The initial interaction requires users to select an option indicating a device change and inability to access their account. Following this, users must provide their national identification number (CI) and the mobile phone number originally registered with Yape. A crucial step involves a facial recognition validation, for which a secure link is provided. The video stresses the importance of following specific instructions during this phase, such as removing glasses or hats, to ensure the biometric verification is successful. "It's very important that you take into account the instructions mentioned so that the selfie you take comes out correctly," states the presenter in the video, underscoring the need for accurate biometric data. Once validated, users can seamlessly resume using their Yape accounts. This initiative by Yape highlights the company's proactive approach to user support and its dedication to maintaining secure and accessible digital financial services for its growing user base.
