Anja se zbog jedne stvari šokirala u Egiptu: Ni kultura, ni saobraćaj, ni vrući…
Kod njih su deca apsolutno svuda sa njima
Cairo, Egypt – A recent social media post by a foreign resident in Egypt has sparked discussion by highlighting the distinctive child-rearing practices observed in the country. The resident, who shares her experiences living abroad, expressed her initial 'shock' at how Egyptian children are integrated into daily life, contrasting it with norms she was accustomed to. According to her observations, children in Egypt frequently accompany their parents to social gatherings, outings, and even late-night events, with their sleep schedules often dictated by their own natural rhythms rather than strict routines. "Children here are not a 'problem,' but a part of life. They go everywhere," she stated in her video. She also noted the absence of a common practice in some cultures of waiting 40 days before taking newborns outside, remarking, "Here, babies live immediately." This cultural insight offers a glimpse into the flexible and inclusive approach to family life prevalent in Egypt, where children are often seen as central to social activities and family outings.
