UK Universities Offer Tuition Discounts to Malaysian Students
Malaysia's MARA Secures Tuition Discounts at Top UK Universities In a significant boost for Malaysian students pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom, three leading universities have announced tuition fee discounts. The initiative, a result of strategic discussions between the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and university officials, will provide substantial financial relief to students. Universities Warwick and Birmingham are offering a 20% discount on tuition fees, while the University of Edinburgh is providing a 10% reduction. This could translate to savings exceeding 100,000 ringgit annually for individual students, according to MARA Chairman Datuk Dr. Ashraf Wajdi Dusuki. "This discount is a direct result of negotiations between MARA and the top leadership of the universities involved," said Datuk Dr. Dusuki in a statement. "It's a significant step towards making higher education more accessible for our students." The collaboration also includes plans for future engagement between MARA and Cambridge University, signaling a wider commitment to international academic partnerships. This initiative reflects MARA's dedication to ensuring Malaysian students can compete on a global academic stage, fostering a brighter future for the nation's youth.
