Flores, Guatemala A distinctive culinary concept is drawing attention in the picturesque town of Flores, where Bistro Puertas Del Cielo offers an unconventional dining experience that foregoes traditional menus. Instead, patrons engage directly with the restaurant owner, who crafts personalized meals based on their preferences and dietary needs. Travel vlogger Abbie, known as Abbie’s Adventures🌏, recently documented her visit to the establishment, sharing her initial apprehension as a self-proclaimed "fussy eater." However, her experience quickly turned to delight. "The owner sat and chatted to me for a while, which was so lovely," Abbie recounted in her video, highlighting the personal touch that defines the bistro. She ultimately received a dish of tender beef in a truffle sauce, accompanied by crispy potatoes and bread, priced at 140 Quetzales (approximately £14). Abbie noted that while the price point is "more on the expensive side for Guatemala," the locally owned restaurant provides "such an amazing experience." She emphasized the appeal for groups, stating, "This is one of those places where you can go with a group of friends and all come out with something so different." The bistro's approach offers a refreshing alternative to standard restaurant formats, promising a memorable and tailored meal for each guest.
