Minsk, Belarus – A recent graduate from Minsk has provided a transparent look into the financial outlay for her 11th-grade graduation, offering insights for future graduates and their families. The student, who recently completed school with a gold medal, detailed her expenses in a popular online video, aiming to inform younger students about potential costs. The core graduation celebration, which included gifts for teachers, a festive banquet, and entertainment, amounted to 450 Belarusian Rubles per student. An additional 50 Belarusian Rubles was contributed for a separate "last bell" event held at an estate. Beyond the main festivities, personal preparations added significantly to the total. The graduate spent 70 Belarusian Rubles on her graduation album and 50 Belarusian Rubles on self-tanner. Her custom-made graduation dress was the most significant individual expense at 350 Belarusian Rubles. Complementing her attire, shoes cost 150 Belarusian Rubles, and accessories totaled 60 Belarusian Rubles. For her appearance, professional makeup and a main hairstyle cost 250 Belarusian Rubles, with an additional 30 Belarusian Rubles for a trial hairstyle. The student noted that a clutch bag was acquired free of charge from her mother's old wardrobe. In total, the student's graduation expenses reached 1500 Belarusian Rubles, which she converted to approximately 36000 Russian Rubles or 460 US Dollars. Despite the sum, she expressed that she considers it a modest amount compared to some of her peers, whose dresses alone could cost around 1000 Belarusian Rubles.
