MINSK, Belarus – Residents in rural areas of Belarus are facing significant challenges with mobile network connectivity, with one woman from Zhilikhovo village in the Kopyl District publicly appealing to telecommunications provider MTS to address the issue. In a recent video, Aleksandra Suvorova highlighted the severe lack of reliable mobile signal and internet access in her village. Suvorova demonstrated her phone showing no network despite cellular data being active, explaining that it is often impossible to make or receive calls. She stated that to find even a minimal signal, she is forced to seek out specific locations, sometimes resorting to standing on a chair. "It's impossible to talk on the phone, and I can't even reach my parents," Suvorova said in the video, expressing frustration that the service was previously stable. She questioned whether this connectivity problem is isolated to her area or if it is a widespread issue affecting villages across Belarus. Suvorova urged viewers to share her video to bring the matter to MTS's attention, hoping for an improvement in service quality for rural residents.
