This commitment was highlighted at the recent Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction conference in Geneva, Switzerland. The Malaysian delegation, representing the government's stance, emphasized the importance of proactive measures and collaboration with international organizations. Key initiatives include the development of educational modules on disaster risk reduction by the Ministry of Education in partnership with UNICEF Malaysia and NADMA. These modules aim to benefit over 7,800 primary schools. Additionally, Malaysia has implemented the CBDRM program, involving over 44,000 people, including 12,000 volunteers, in collaboration with NGOs and private companies.
