‘Wait this is insane’: Ohio Mom buys a can of Arizona Iced Tea. Then she buys t…
An Ohio mom posted about an issue with silver-topped Arizona Iced Teas after her tea-obsessed son pointed out that they’re different.
A recent viral video has brought to light a serious consumer complaint against Arizona Iced Tea, specifically concerning its Diet Green Tea product. Benjamin Holmes, the consumer featured in the video, claims to have been conducting an informal investigation into the beverage's quality for the past year. His findings, publicly shared, highlight a significant discrepancy between different batches of the product, identifiable by distinct can designs. Holmes demonstrated that cans with a gold top and a round pop tab contained a clear, golden-hued liquid, which he confirmed had a pleasant taste. In stark contrast, cans with a silver top and a rectangular pop tab, which he labeled as "defective," produced a cloudy, unappetizing liquid. Visible within this liquid were numerous small particles, described by Holmes as "floaties," and a thick, white, slimy substance that accumulated on the surface. "There's little floaties. Oh my god, there's floaties in there. Those are bugs, those are parasites," Holmes stated in the video, visibly distressed. He further reported that the "defective" tea emitted a "rancid" smell, making it unpalatable. The consumer expressed frustration, noting that out of two full cases of Arizona Diet Green Tea he purchased, only a single can met his quality expectations. He concluded his public address with a direct challenge to the company: "Fix your drinks or you've been served," indicating a potential lawsuit if the alleged quality control issues are not promptly resolved. This incident raises urgent questions about manufacturing standards and consumer health, prompting a call for Arizona Iced Tea to address these serious allegations.
