A man in Jonesboro, Arkansas, is calling out a local nightclub for allegedly targeting Black people unfairly through its dress code policy.
A recent video uploaded by independent artist Bg Illie has sparked significant controversy in Jonesboro, Arkansas, alleging racial discrimination at the Midnight Rodeo Club. The video, posted on October 20, 2025, shows Bg Illie and his companions outside the club, discussing a dress code displayed at the entrance. "This is basically saying no [racial slur] without saying it," Bg Illie states in the video, referring to rules prohibiting items such as "No Tall T's," "No Solid Color T-shirts," "No Athletic Wear, Hoodies or Jerseys," "No Baggy or Over Sized Pants," and "No Do Rags or Wave Caps." He argues that these restrictions disproportionately affect Black patrons and are a veiled attempt at racial profiling. "What are we not understanding on the thing? It's basically saying no [racial slur] allowed without saying it. They just don't want to see it," he asserts, with a woman beside him adding, "We [racial slur] and they don't want to let us in." The incident has ignited discussions online regarding discriminatory practices and cultural profiling in public establishments. Efforts to reach Midnight Rodeo Club management for comment were unsuccessful at the time of publication.
