Lawsuit accuses Fort Worth hotel of allowing intruder into guest’s room

Fort Worth, Texas – An attorney has brought to light a disturbing incident involving hotel security and guest safety, sharing surveillance footage of a man allegedly gaining unauthorized access to a hotel room in March 2024. The attorney, representing two young women, stated that a front desk agent at a Fort Worth hotel reportedly used a master key to allow an unknown man into her clients' room in the middle of the night, leading to a sexual assault. According to the attorney, the man initially approached the front desk, presumably to obtain information about a room. After an initial attempt to access the room failed, he returned to the front desk. The front desk agent then allegedly escorted the man to the young women's room and used a master key to open the door, allowing him to enter without any prior knocking or confirmation from the occupants. “You don’t see any knocking, you don’t see her calling out to the young women to make sure that it’s okay to let this strange man into their hotel room in the middle of the night,” the attorney stated in the video. She further highlighted that such incidents are not isolated, having represented several women with similar experiences where unknown men obtained room keys from poorly trained front desk agents. The attorney emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive training for hotel staff, stressing that hotels must understand and adhere to basic safety rules. “We plan on sending a loud and clear message to the hotel industry that this is not okay, that we see what’s happening, and they need to fix it,” she concluded, indicating a commitment to holding the hotel industry accountable for guest safety.
