Tech Creator Exposes Apparent "Trump Phone" Purchase Scam
A popular tech content creator, known as Carterpcs, recently shared his experience attempting to purchase the "Trump phone," revealing what appears to be a significant online scam. Following a challenge where his audience achieved 200,000 likes on a previous video, Carterpcs proceeded to the official website to acquire the device. During the purchase process, the creator encountered a website malfunction. Each attempt to complete the order resulted in an error message, yet his credit card was repeatedly charged $100. This led to four accidental charges totaling $400. Carterpcs expressed his dismay at the apparent lack of transparency regarding the charges and the website's functionality. In a move to mitigate the situation, Carterpcs announced his intention to donate the full amount of the accidental charges to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, a charity chosen by his followers. He stated he would provide updates on whether he eventually receives the phone despite the fraudulent charges.
