Narcomichi: The Cat That Tried to Smuggle Drugs into Prison
Costa Rican authorities intercepted a drug smuggling attempt with an unusual accomplice: a cat. The feline, later dubbed "Narcomichi" on social media, was found carrying a significant amount of narcotics into the Pococi Penitentiary. Prison officials discovered 235.65 grams of marijuana and 67.76 grams of crack cocaine concealed on the animal. "It was quite a surprise," said one official, who preferred to remain anonymous. "We've seen many creative smuggling attempts, but this one certainly takes the cake." The drugs were confiscated and the cat was taken to the National Animal Health Service for evaluation. While the cat's health is now being monitored, the incident raises questions about the lengths criminals will go to, and the unintended consequences for innocent animals caught in the crossfire. The successful interception serves as a reminder of the constant vigilance required to combat drug trafficking.
