Bolivian Elections: Analyst Says Tuto and Samuel Competing for Same Voters
Santa Cruz, Bolivia – Political analyst Carlos Saavedra stated that presidential hopefuls Tuto and Samuel are currently vying for the same segment of the electorate. During a recent broadcast, Saavedra highlighted that survey data indicates a significant overlap in their voter bases, with supporters of one often listing the other as their second choice. "Tuto and Samuel are fighting over the same electorate," Saavedra asserted. He further noted that a key issue for opposition parties is their apparent reluctance to engage with voters who previously supported the MAS party. "They are not talking to that electorate, they don't understand them, and I believe that is the drama of these campaigns," he added, suggesting that this oversight could be a critical factor in the upcoming national elections. Saavedra emphasized that understanding the centrist voter, who may not have strong political affiliations and has previously voted for various parties, is crucial for electoral success.
