
Belarus Seeks to Double Trade with Zimbabwe, Reaching for $100 Million
MINSK, May 15, 2025 – Belarus aims to significantly expand its trade relations with Zimbabwe, with a target of reaching \$100 million in bilateral trade. This ambitious goal was discussed in a recent interview featuring Belarusian Minister of Industry Aleksandr Efimov and Belarusian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Igor Marschalov. Efimov highlighted the strong existing relationship, stating, "This is one of the countries where we already have a very high level of cooperation." Marschalov added that over 30 reciprocal visits took place last year, fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding. The potential for growth is evident, given the positive reception of Belarusian products in Zimbabwe. Adding a personal touch to the narrative, Darril Nyasha Muchinguri, a Zimbabwean student at BNTU, shared his experiences living and studying in Belarus, further strengthening the narrative of the growing cooperation between the two nations. This collaboration promises a bright future for economic ties between Belarus and Zimbabwe.
