New €32 Million Nursing Home Opens in A Coruña Thanks to Amancio Ortega Foundation

A Coruña, Galicia, welcomes a new 150-bed nursing home, a €32 million project funded by the Amancio Ortega Foundation. The facility, located in the Eirís neighborhood, offers stunning sea views and modern amenities such as a cafeteria, gym, and hair salon. It is the fourth of seven such homes planned under a 2019 agreement between the foundation and the Xunta (Galician regional government). President Alfonso Rueda stated, "This is a significant investment in public health and elder care." The remaining three facilities are expected to open soon. The new nursing home represents a step towards the Xunta's goal of creating 24 new residences in towns with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants.
