ZARAGOZA - A retired man in Zaragoza experienced a "tremendous shock" on Monday when he opened a package he found in the parking lot of a Mercadona supermarket, only to discover it was filled with 20,000 euros. The man, whose identity has not been fully disclosed, recounted his experience, stating he initially thought the bag contained cat food. "I went to do some shopping for home, and when I parked, I saw someone drop a bag," he explained. "I went to pick it up, and when I looked, it was a bag with money. The owner of the money, who had reportedly realized their loss when attempting to deposit the funds, had also returned to the parking lot. Due to the retired man searching inside the supermarket and the owner searching the parking lot, they initially did not cross paths. However, thanks to the man's integrity and the police's intervention, the money was successfully reunited with its rightful owner. The retired man expressed his gratitude and happiness, stating, "I'm very grateful, very happy, and very content."
