A woman identified as Janna Schwarz is speaking out about her harrowing experience with a delayed breast cancer diagnosis, alleging medical negligence by her former gynecologist. Schwarz, who is currently undergoing preparations for chemotherapy in a German hospital, shared her story in a recent video, detailing how a lump she discovered a year ago was repeatedly dismissed as benign. According to Schwarz, she first noticed a lump in September of last year. Despite her persistent concerns about its growth and hardness, multiple examinations including ultrasounds and mammograms by her gynecologist reportedly concluded the lump was harmless and would eventually absorb. "I kept telling her it was growing and hard, but she said it was benign," Schwarz stated in her video. It was only after seeking a second opinion and undergoing a biopsy that the grim truth emerged: she had malignant breast cancer, alongside a benign tumor and a cyst. The delay, she claims, caused the malignant tumor to double in size, necessitating immediate chemotherapy rather than a less invasive surgical option. "They could have removed it a year ago, but now it's too big," she lamented. Schwarz expressed profound anger and disappointment, particularly noting that the ultrasound images, which her current doctors confirmed showed the growing tumor, were available to her previous doctor. She intends to pursue legal action against the medical professional responsible for the alleged year-long oversight. Her story serves as a stark warning, urging individuals to be proactive in their health and seek multiple medical opinions if they feel their concerns are not being adequately addressed.
