Un experto en energía explica lo que tienes que hacer con el aire acondicionado…
Con la llegada del verano, el uso del aire acondicionado y los ventiladores se dispara
As summer temperatures rise, many households face soaring electricity bills due to increased use of cooling appliances. A recent video by energy expert Javier Dasí sheds light on efficient energy consumption, offering valuable tips to reduce costs. Dasí explains that while air conditioners provide significant cooling, their initial power draw is substantial, consuming 1000-1200 watts per hour until the desired temperature is reached, then settling at 500-600 watts. In contrast, a fan consumes a mere 50 watts, making it a far more economical choice for initial cooling. "Always try to bear the heat with fans first," Dasí advises. "Only when the air moved by fans becomes hot should you consider turning on the air conditioner." He recommends setting the air conditioner to the highest comfortable temperature and using fans to complement it, as this combination can significantly lower the thermal sensation and reduce overall energy expenditure. A critical point highlighted by Dasí is the prevalent issue of overpaying for electricity. He notes that many consumers are currently paying between 20 to 30 cents per kilowatt-hour, which is two to three times higher than the most competitive offers available in the market. "It's like paying for 30 hours of air conditioning when you've only used it for 10," he illustrates. He strongly urges consumers to regularly review their electricity bills and actively seek out cheaper rates and better offers from energy providers to avoid unnecessary expenses.
