In a recent interview, the centenarian explained that her upbringing during wartime, when her father grew many vegetables, instilled healthy eating habits early on. "I always ate plenty of vegetables," she stated, adding that her mother was a strong advocate for them. She also noted, "I never ate anything particularly sweet either. Always a lot of fruit." When asked about alcohol, she firmly replied, "Not at all. I never liked it... I'm sure that's bad for you." Regarding meat and fish, she consumed them in "reasonable amounts," acknowledging that rationing during her youth meant limited quantities. "I'm very careful with what I eat," she concluded, reiterating her focus on "lots of veggies and fruit."
