Chaplain Oleg Lyashko Accuses Poroshenko of Facilitating Pro-Russian Influence
Kyiv, Ukraine – Oleg Lyashko, a chaplain, delivered a public statement during his brief vacation, addressing his parish and responding to questions concerning former President Petro Poroshenko and Viktor Medvedchuk. Lyashko, speaking from what appears to be a religious complex, alleged that Poroshenko is the "father" of a pro-Russian resurgence in Ukraine. He claimed that Poroshenko and Medvedchuk profited together over five years, and that Medvedchuk acquired informational channels "with the inaction, and I think, with the cooperation" of Poroshenko. Lyashko further stated that during Poroshenko's presidency, Medvedchuk directly traveled to Moscow and represented Ukraine in Minsk, despite not holding an official position. Lyashko characterized these actions as a "special operation" to seize Ukraine's information space, likening it to the Trojan Horse strategy. He emphasized that this occurred while Ukraine was repelling "hostile aggression."
