Belgrade, Serbia – A young woman, known online as Gia ౨ৎ, recently shared a cautionary tale on social media about a financial scam she experienced in a public setting. The incident involved an encounter with a woman who claimed to be pregnant and in urgent need of money due to a broken-down car and an impending salary collection. According to Gia ౨ৎ, the woman approached her with a distressed demeanor, leading her to believe the story was genuine. Feeling emotionally vulnerable at the time, Gia ౨ৎ lent the woman 4000 Serbian dinars. The individual provided a name, Jelena, and a phone number, promising to repay the sum. However, subsequent attempts to contact the woman proved futile, revealing the phone number to be invalid. Gia ౨ৎ expressed her disappointment and emotional distress over the deception, stating that she had momentarily forgotten her usual caution about strangers. She hopes her experience will serve as a warning to others about similar scams. Authorities were not explicitly mentioned as being involved in the video, but the incident highlights the ongoing issue of street-level fraud.
