"Turbulence Diaries: Expert Advice on Navigating Bumpy Flights" A cabin crew member, Majoros Mirtill, recently shared valuable insights on where passengers should sit to minimize the impact of turbulence during flights. In a popular video, Mirtill explained that while many believe the front of the aircraft is the smoothest, the area near the wings actually experiences the least movement. "The least movement will be experienced near the wings," Mirtill stated, clarifying that this is where the oscillation is minimal. She further elaborated that passengers seeking a calmer journey should aim for seats in the middle section of the plane, near the wings. For those who enjoy a more dynamic experience, Mirtill suggested the rear of the aircraft. "If you are an adventurous person who likes these kinds of experiences and enjoys 4D movies, then I recommend the back of the plane," she advised. She noted that the back of the plane offers a more intense sensation of vibrations and sounds during turbulence. Mirtill also recounted a personal experience of flying in the cockpit during a severe storm from Bologna, describing it as "the best experience" for feeling the full intensity of the weather. Her advice aims to help travelers choose seats based on their preference for a smooth or more adventurous flight.
