According to a statement by Deputy Director-General (Operations) of Immigration, Jafri Embok Taha, the arrests were made after his team inspected 1,597 foreign nationals residing in the housing area. "The arrests were made after our team inspected 1,597 foreign nationals of various nationalities who lived in the housing area," said Taha. The operation highlights the ongoing challenges Malaysia faces in managing its undocumented migrant population. The video underscores the importance of continued efforts to address this issue. The detainees were subsequently processed and their cases are under investigation.
