Masséo voulait marquer les esprits avec la sortie de son premier single… et il y est arrivé, mais pas vraiment comme il l’espérait. Banni d’Instagram…
Paris, France – Masseo, a rising artist known from Star Academy 2024, has publicly announced that his Instagram account has been banned. This incident follows a previous hacking of his TikTok account, creating significant challenges for his independent music career. Masseo stated in a recent video, "I got banned from Instagram following the announcement of my single." He suspects the ban may be linked to reports about his single's cover art, which some deemed problematic due to depictions of sunburns or perceived nudity. He emphasized that his artistic choices were intended as a nod to 2000s aesthetics and a way to explore different facets of his artistry. As an independent artist, Masseo relies heavily on social media for promotion and to fund his projects. He expressed concern, saying, "The fact that I no longer have an Instagram account really scares me because I don't have a label, I don't have a team, and the only way to promote myself is through social media." He appealed to his followers for assistance in recovering his account. Despite these significant setbacks, Masseo remains determined. He affirmed his commitment to artistic freedom, stating, "I don't want to prevent myself from doing what I want to do." He confirmed that his single is still set to be released on August 15th, regardless of the current obstacles.
