London, UK Two individuals involved in a series of phone thefts in central London were apprehended following a dramatic high-speed chase involving armed police and a helicopter. The incident, which unfolded recently on Exhibition Road, saw officers pursue suspects on e-bikes who had stolen multiple mobile phones. According to police reports, the pursuit escalated as the suspects attempted to evade capture. One of the individuals crashed his e-bike into a civilian vehicle, leading to a direct confrontation with officers. He was subsequently tasered and arrested on the scene. "You're under arrest on suspicion of robbery and possession of offensive weapon," an officer stated during the arrest, as heard in bodycam footage. The second suspect also crashed, hitting a postbox before being taken into custody. Both individuals, identified as Ellis Parkinson and Bradley McMillan, were later charged. Parkinson received a sentence of 33 months, while McMillan was sentenced to 30 months behind bars. Authorities confirmed that all stolen phones were recovered and successfully returned to their owners, underscoring the effectiveness of the coordinated police response.
