The new establishment, reportedly originating from Mexico, aimed to offer authentic cuisine to the community. According to a video posted by local resident @mijachicana, she and a friend attended the opening with the intention of supporting the small business, despite anticipating long waits. However, their experience took an unexpected turn when they observed a well-known food reviewer, identified as "Elder," receiving special treatment. The customer stated that while she and others waited in line for approximately 20-25 minutes, food orders were reportedly being expedited specifically for "Elder." Furthermore, upon his arrival, the reviewer allegedly approached a group of customers already seated by a window and requested them to move so he could occupy their table. The customers reportedly complied with the request. "I think that's so rude, I think that's really disingenuous, like that's so like ego-headed," @mijachicana commented in her video, expressing strong disapproval of both the reviewer's actions and the restaurant's apparent facilitation of the preferential treatment. She emphasized that paying customers, even if friends or family of the owners, should not be asked to vacate their seats for an influencer.
