From Period Cramps to Baby in Minutes: An Unexpected Birth Story
Unexpected Labor: Period Cramps Lead to Speedy Delivery A recent video posted by Morgan Presley on social media details a surprising and rapid childbirth experience. Ms. Presley, a resident of the United States, initially mistook her labor pains for period cramps. She explains, "I was feeling like period cramps. I didn't really think anything of it." However, as the night progressed, the cramps intensified, prompting her to time them. After about 30 minutes, she realized she was in labor and went to her OBGYN appointment. At the OBGYN's office, Ms. Presley's mucus plug fell out, and she was told she was 3cm dilated and would likely deliver soon. Upon returning home, contractions intensified rapidly. She says, "I'm walking for like a couple steps and then falling to the ground because these contractions are hurting so bad." She returned to the hospital, and after receiving an epidural, she delivered her baby in just two minutes and 47 seconds. Despite a second-degree tear, Ms. Presley's experience highlights the unpredictable nature of labor and the speed with which it can progress.
