A woman has shared her harrowing experience of losing her sight and her third child due to severe health complications and alleged medical negligence during her pregnancies. The individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, recounted her ordeal in a recent online video, detailing a series of alarming events that began in 2014. According to her account, she first experienced a loss of smell during her first pregnancy in 2014, which she did not take seriously. The situation escalated during her third pregnancy in 2020 when she was admitted to a hospital for gestational diabetes and began suffering from severe migraines. She developed frontal sinusitis, leading to a build-up of mucus and eventual loss of sight in one eye. Despite being transferred to another hospital for an MRI, she claims she endured a week of neglect without proper medical attention. Upon finally being seen by a consultant, she was advised to seek care at a national hospital due to the severity of her condition. There, she underwent surgery to remove the sinus build-up. She recounted the shocking detail of the hospital relying on a generator for power during her operation. She later learned that a minor infection had progressed towards her brain, a complication she believes could have been avoided with earlier intervention. The challenges continued as she went into labor, experiencing severe bleeding. Rushed to the hospital in the early hours, she was informed that her unborn son had no heartbeat. Doctors later confirmed she suffered a placental abruption, a dangerous condition where the placenta detaches from the womb, which led to the tragic loss of her child. The woman expressed gratitude for her own survival, attributing it to divine intervention and the support of her family. She emphasized the critical need for individuals to pay close attention to their health, even seemingly minor symptoms, and to advocate for proper medical care, highlighting the deficiencies in the healthcare system she experienced.
