Massive Cleanup in Kazakhstan Removes 25 Tons of Waste
Ordabasy District in Southern Kazakhstan recently achieved a significant environmental victory. On May 31st, 2025, coinciding with World Environment Day, the district organized a massive cleanup initiative, "Moldir Bulak." The event involved approximately 1500 volunteers, including government employees, teachers, medical professionals, and local residents. "We wanted to show our commitment to a cleaner Kazakhstan," said one participating volunteer. The effort resulted in the removal of 25 tons of waste from various areas, including riverbanks and forests. This success underscores the district's dedication to environmental protection and community involvement. The "Moldir Bulak" initiative serves as a model for other communities striving for environmental sustainability.
